The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducts the UP PET Exam every year, and the dates for the next exam will be announced shortly. The UP PET Exam is being conducted as an eligibility test for the recruitment of Group B and C posts. The UPSSSC PET exam will be qualifying in nature. Those candidates who are going to participate in the exam for the first time should have little idea about the exam pattern and syllabus. The UP PET 2025 Exam Dates will be announced with the UPSSSC Calendar 2025, the candidates willing to appear in the exam must begin their preparation from now onwards. 

UPSSSC PET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

The official notification for UPSSSC PET 2025 has been released on 2nd May 2025, so it is finalised that the exam will be conducted this year. Everyone preparing for the exam should know that it is a state-level examination for the recruitment of secretariat posts in Uttar Pradesh (UP). After a candidate qualifies for the PET Exam, they will have to appear for the main Exam based on the particular posts that they are interested in.

UPSSSC PET Exam Pattern 2025

UPSSSC PET Exam 2025 consists of 100 questions for 100 marks, and the time duration for the exam is 2 hours. For each wrong answer, ¼ mark will be deducted.

  • The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions
  • A total of 100 such questions will be asked
  • The duration of the exam shall be 2 hours
  • Each each wrong answers will result in a negative marking of 1/4th mark
  • The difficulty of questions for topics from sr. no. 1 to 9 shall be as per NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary level
