TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates will be selected based on the Tamil Language Eligibility Test and Main written examination. The exam pattern details for both open and departmental candidates are given below;
For Open Candidates
- The written exam comprises two parts: Part 1 for the Tamil Eligibility Test and Part 2 for the Mains Written Exam.
- Candidates must score 40 marks in Part 1 (the Tamil eligibility test) and 25 marks (35%) marks in Part 2.
- The duration of Part 1 is 1 hour 40 minutes and the duration of Part 2 is 2½ hours.
- The Tamil Eligibility Test is qualifying in nature while Main Written Examination is scoring.

The Written examination for selecting Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk, AR& TSP ) consists of two parts:
Part 1: Tamil Language Eligibility Test, an objective-type test with 100 questions carrying 100 marks, lasting 100 minutes ( 1 hour 40 minutes). Candidates must score at least 40 marks (40%) to qualify for the main examination.
Part 2: Main Written Examination, comprising two sections:
Part A: General Knowledge, with 80 questions carrying 40 marks.
Part B: Logical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Psychological Test, Communication Skills , and Information Handling Ability, with 60 questions carrying 30 marks.
The total test marks are 70, and candidates must score at least 25 marks to qualify.
Part I: Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Common for Open Quota and Departmental Quota Candidates)

Psychology Test: The syllabus for the Psychological Test will be the same as Open Quota Candidates.
