According to Article 164, the Chief Minister is appointed by The Governor and according to Article 167, CM serves as a liaison between the Governor and the state council of ministers. Our constitution makes no specific mention of the educational qualifications to nominate a Chief Minister (CM), however, this does not mean that the governor is free to appoint anyone as the state's or UT's Chief Minister.
