SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2024, Check Qualification and Age Limit

As SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam is approaching, the aspirants who are interested in the recruitment drive and looking for a job opportunity must be aware of the minimum required eligibility criteria. Staff Selection Commission is held responsible for conducting the SSC MTS exam which is a national-level exam for selecting candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments and offices of the Government of India. The officials of SSC has decided the minimum required education qualification and age limit to be applicable for candidates willing to apply for the SSC MTS Recruitment. 

The parameters that are taken into consideration by Staff Selection Commission to evaluate a candidate's eligibility for MTS and Havaldar posts are specified below:

4. Physical Standards (only for havaldar)

SSC MTS Eligibility- Education Qualification

Candidates should have passed the matriculation (Class 10) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or university as on or before the cut-off date to be eligible to appear for SSC MTS 2024 Exam. The educational qualification will also be considered fulfilled if the candidate can provide documentary evidence proving that they passed the qualifying examination on or before the cut-off date.

SSC MTS Eligibility- Age Limit 

For MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue)- The minimum age limit is usually 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years. The candidates must be born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006.

For Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS- Candidates must fall in the age group of 18 to 27 years. The candidates were born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006. 

However, there are age relaxations for candidates belonging to certain categories, such as SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and ex-servicemen as mentioned below. 

SSC MTS Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently. 

SSC Havaldar Physical Requirements
