The UP Board Exam 2025 for the classes 10th, 12th were scheduled to start on February 24, 2025 but the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the revision of the exam scheduled on February 24, 2025. The board has cited ongoing Mahakumbh as the reason for the revision of exam dates.
The major announcement was made by Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Secondary Education Gulab Devi in Lucknow during a press conference. She announced that the Class 10th and 12th exams which were scheduled to be condcuted on February 24 will now be conducted by the board on March 09, 2025.
UP Board Exam Date 2025 Revised
According to the UP Board Date Sheet 2025, the exams of the following subjects were scheduled to be held on February 24, 2025:
- Class 10: Hindi and Healthcare papers
- Class 12: Military Science and Hindi papers
As per the released schedule, these examinations were to be condcuted by the board in two shifts—8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. However, the board decided to reschedule these examinations after taking into consideration the amount of devotees for Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025.
As per the notice, “In view of the heavy rush of devotees and traffic arrangements till the last bathing date of Mahakumbh-2025 dated 26.02.2025 (Mahashivratri), the Director of Education (Secondary) and Chairman, Secondary Education Council, Uttar Pradesh Lucknow, by letter number-Ma.Shi.P./Coordination/DE/286 dated 18.02.2025, it has been requested to conduct the High School and Intermediate examinations of 24.02.2025 in district Prayagraj at a later date.”
