UP Scholarship 2024 for Students in Sanskrit Schools, Govt announces new revisions

UP Government announces scholarships for the students of Sanskrit Schools in the state. The scholarship amount to be offered to the students of classes 9 to 12 has been revised from INR 50 to INR 200.

The UP Government on August 28 announced new revisions in the scholarships to the students enrolled in the Sanskrit Schools. The scholarship scheme will benefit 1,21,573 students studying in 517 Sanskrit schools in Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced the removal of the minimum required income amount which was INR 50,000 in the previous draft to avail scholarship. The scholarship amount to be offered to the students of classes 9 to 12 has been revised as the monthly scholarship amount offered to these students will now increase from INR 50 to INR 200.

The Classes 6 to 8 have also been introduced with the scholarship as the students of classes 6 and 7 will receive INR 50 while the students of class 8th will be receiving INR 75 as their monthly scholarship.

Previously the students of classes 9th and 10th used to receive INR 50 as their scholarship amount while now they will get INR 100 per month. For the students of classes 11th and 12th the scholarship amount used to be INR 80 under the previous notification while with the new revisions, the amount will now change to INR 200 per month.
