NEET Result 2024 Controversy: Supreme Court remarks Sancity Affected

Taking on a case filed by Shivangi Mishra v. National Testing Agency, the Supreme Court today refused to put a stay on the counseling process to be conducted for admission based on the NEET Result 2024. The Hon. Supreme Court also mentioned that the sanctity of the exam has been affected.

Hearing the case filed by Shivangi Mishra before the Supreme Court regarding to the cancellation of NEET Counselling 2024, the vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah mentioned that they won’t stop the counselling and if the further arguments are added onto this, then the case will be dismissed.

There are several PILs and petitions pending with similar demands in various high courts and the Supreme Court of India. As per reports after the release of NEET Result 2024, multiple candidates were disappointed with the way results were announced, the preparation of results, the conduct of exams, the allotment of grace marks, and many other events.

As a matter of disappointment, numerous candidates along with their parents and the coaching institutes had filed PILs and asked the Supreme Court to re-conduct NEET 2024 Exam and provide justice. The candidates are very disappointed with the results as they are saying that their whole preparation has gone in vain due to the irregularity and careless attitude of NTA.

The candidates have alleged irregularities in the result’s preparation and the way grace marks are added among certain candidates total. The candidates have been questioning the credibility of NTA since the result’s announcement.
