The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the NEET Counselling 2025 approximately a month after the declaration of the NEET 2025 result. As per updates, the registration process for the NEET UG Counselling will be conducted in the fourth week of July 2025. The counselling process will take place in approximately five to six rounds, but additional rounds can be included if seats remain vacant. The AIQ counselling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee), while state-wise State Quota counselling is conducted by each state. This is a crucial step following the NEET exam, where students can lay their hands on their dream medical seat.

When will the NEET Counselling 2025 begin?

Candidates are advised to follow a set of procedures to participate in NEET Counselling 2025, which include registration, choice filling, and payment of the fee. The allotment of seats in the medical and dental colleges will be done through the declaration of the NEET Seat Allotment Result 2025. The MCC will announce a complete schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2025 for all rounds, where the allocation of seats for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) in government colleges and 85% state Quota in deemed universities such as ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programs will be performed.

After the registration process is finalized, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will also publish the NEET UG merit list for 2025.

How to Apply for the NEET Counselling 2025?

The following are the steps involved in the NEET Counselling 2025 process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Qualified candidates are required to undergo each step in getting shortlisted for admission to the college of their choice. The steps are listed below:

Step 1: Registration for NEET Counselling 2025

The very first step in the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 is the registration process, in which qualified and eligible candidates register themselves at the official website www.mcc.nic.in. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to complete the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Registration process.

• Visit the official website, www.mcc.nic.in
• Click on the UG medical tab displayed on the homepage.
• Scroll down to click on the link ‘new registration’ from the candidate activity board.
• Input the required details, counselling, NEET UG Roll number, password, and security pin, and then click on ‘sign in’
• Start filling out the application form and complete the fee payment
• Download and save the confirmation page for future reference

Step 2: NEET 2025 Counselling Fee payment

Upon filling out the online registration form, candidates should make fee payments carefully to complete the registration process successfully. The counselling fees and security fees have to be paid, wherein the counselling fee is a non-refundable amount, whereas the security fee is refundable on the basis of the seat allotted to the candidates. The fee should be paid only via online payment mode using a credit or debit card.

Step 3: Choice filling for NEET Counselling 2025

In this step, candidates are allowed to make a dummy sheet to fill in their dream colleges of interest. Candidates should log in to the official website using registered credentials and prioritise the preferred choices available from the list of colleges or courses from the choice filling section. The choices made by the aspirants are saved and locked before the scheduled date and time, and a printout could be taken for future reference.

Step 4: NEET 2025 Seat Allotment

This step takes place in four rounds, such as Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and Stary vacancy round. The seat allotment letters are to be downloaded by candidates as and when MCC releases them. Candidates should also note that free exit is available in the first round, while a forfeiture exit is available in the second round.

Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted College

This is the final step in the NEET UG Counselling 2025 process, in which candidates must report to the designated college or university being allotted to them. The candidates are required to submit their original documents, which are mentioned below, during reporting.

NEET Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To take part in the NEET UG 2025 counselling process, candidates need to meet certain important eligibility criteria:

• Qualifying NEET UG 2025: Candidates must clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) with the required cut-off marks set by the authorities. Without qualifying for NEET, no candidate will be allowed to take part in the counselling process.
• Online Registration on MCC Website: It is mandatory for all eligible candidates to register themselves on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Only those who complete the registration process can participate in the counselling rounds.
• Eligibility for AIQ and Deemed Universities: All candidates, including those from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, are allowed to participate in the counselling for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and seats offered by deemed universities across India.
