NEET Biology Preparation Strategy 2025
NEET Biology is a very important part of the NEET exam, as it carries the highest weightage among all subjects. It includes both Botany and Zoology topics from Class 11 and 12 NCERT textbooks. Questions are mostly concept-based and test the student’s understanding of life processes, cells, genetics, human physiology, and ecology. Biology has 100 questions in total, out of which students need to attempt 90. Each correct answer gives 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for a wrong answer. A strong grip on Biology can help students score well in NEET. It is the key subject for those who aim to become doctors or enter other medical fields.
NEET 2025 Biology Class 10, 12: Most Important Chapters
NEET Biology mainly focuses on Class 11 and 12 NCERT topics. From Class 10, basic chapters like Life Processes, Control and Coordination, and Heredity and Evolution help build the foundation. For Class 11, important chapters include Cell-Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, and Biomolecules. From Class 12, key chapters are Genetics and Evolution, Biotechnology, Human Reproduction, Reproductive Health, and Ecology. The NEET Biology syllabus covers topics from both Botany and Zoology. It includes 38 chapters in total – 22 from Class 11 and 16 from Class 12. Studying NCERT books thoroughly is the best way to prepare for NEET Biology.
