NEST 2025

For the year 2025, the NEST exam is scheduled for June 22, 2025 and will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode. It will consist of 68 questions, with a total of 200 marks. The questions will be divided into four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. Each section will have different types of questions, including multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical-based questions. Steps to Fill Out the NEST Application Form 2025

Step III: Fill in all the details asked such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email ID, etc. Fields marked with the sign * are mandatory.

Step IV: The authorities will send the login ID and password to the registered email ID or mobile number of the candidate.

Step V: Now the candidates will have to fill out the NEST 2025 application form by providing all the personal information, educational details, qualifying exam, and contact details.

Step VII: At the end, the candidates will have to pay the application fee through net banking or credit card/debit card.

Photograph and Signature

Step VIII: After filling out the application fee, the candidates will have to upload their photographs and signatures. The authority has also released the size and format of the photograph and signature that are to be uploaded.

NEST 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the NEST exam, students must have passed the Class 12 board exam in 2023 or 2024 with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved categories). They should have studied science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology. There is also an age limit, usually for students born on or after August 1, 2004. NETS Age Limit Criteria 2025

• For general and OBC Category applicants, should have been born after August 2001.
• There are a total of five years of relaxation for SC/ ST candidates.

Educational Qualification for NEST 2025

• Students must have cleared their class 12th examination or equivalent in 2023, 2024, or be appearing for the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2025, regardless of category.
• Candidates must have Mathematics as the mandatory subject in the 10+2 exam.
• Other mandatory subjects are physics, chemistry, biology, or life science subjects.

Minimum Marks Required

• Attain at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For SC, ST, and Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.

State-wise Quota

• Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana state have a quota of 15%.
