The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national-level entrance examination conducted every year by the National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) as the process for admission into various law courses like LLB, LLM and PhD. AILET Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • BA LLB Hons – 45% in the final result (42% in case of OBC, 40% for SC/ST)
  • BCom Hons (non-residential program) – 45% in the final result (42% in case of OBC, 40% for SC/ST)
  • LLM (non-residential program) – 55% in LLB or equivalent course (50% for SC/ST or PwD category)
  • LLM (Intellectual property law and management) – 50% in LLB or equivalent course (45% for SC/ST or PwD category)
  • MA (Intellectual property law and management) – 2 UG degrees with 1 in a relevant discipline; 5-year integrated degree in a relevant discipline; PG degree from a recognized institution; 4-year bachelor degree with Hons/Research
  • PhD in law – 55% in LLM or equivalent course (50% for SC/ST/OBCs non-creamy layer/ Differently Abled/EWS)
  • PhD in Social Science – 55% in LLM or equivalent course (50% for SC/ST/OBCs non-creamy layer/ Differently Abled/EWS)
