RSSB JE Vacancy 2026 (Post-wise)

RSSB has announced a total of 874 vacancies for junior engineer posts, divided between non-scheduled area and scheduled area candidates. Candidates can check the post-wise vacancies in the table below.

Application Fee

While submitting the application forms, candidates are required to pay an application fee as per candidate category. Candidates from the General/OBC/EBC category have to pay Rs. 600/-, and candidates from other categories have to pay Rs. 400/-. Application fees will be paid online and will not be refunded in any circumstance.

2. Citizen Apps (G2C) choose Recruitment Portal

4. If you have not done One Time Registration (OTR) then first fill your category(Unreserved/Reserved), disability status and home state details and pay the OTR fee.
5. Complete the application form and upload a recent live photo (not older than 1 month) and visible body mark details as required
6. Applying to more than one department? Please select your department preferences in order (PWD/Water Resources/Public Health Engineering)
7. Preview and Final Submit No change to name, father’s name, date of birth or photograph/signature is allowed after submission (except during limited correction window)
8. Write down the generated application number for future reference

Rajasthan JE Eligibility Criteria

JE (Civil) – Degree holders: Degree in civil engineering from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government
Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture

JE (Civil) – Diploma holders: A Diploma in civil engineering from a recognised institution, or a Civil Engineering diploma recognised by the Institution of Engineers for exemption from its associate membership exam
Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture

JE (Mechanical/Electrical) – Diploma holders: A diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering from a recognised institution, or an equivalent diploma recognised by the Institution of Engineers

Additional: Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2027)

Candidates must be 18 years old and not have exceeded 40 years. Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.

What is the Selection Process?

Selection is based solely on a written objective-type examination carrying 120 marks (40 marks for General Knowledge, 80 marks for the concerned engineering subject), with 1/3 negative marking and a 40% minimum qualifying score.

Q. When is the RSSB JE 2026 exam likely to be held?

The written examination is probably scheduled for February 2027, though RSSB reserves the right to change the date.

RSSB JE Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and personal interview.

1. It is an objective-based examination to be completed in 2 hours.
2. The exam is to be conducted in offline mode.
3. There will be 2 sections – General Knowledge and Engineering subjects – with a weightage of 40 marks and 80 marks, respectively.
4. A deduction of -0.33 marks for every incorrect answer.

Rajasthan JE Salary Structure

The candidates who cleared the exam for the post of junior engineer in Rajasthan will be offered the following perks and incentives, including house rent allowance, dearness allowance, travel allowance, medical facilities and leave, travel or tour allowance:

• Basic Salary – Rs. 29,100 – Rs. 104,400
• Grade Pay – Rs. 5,400
• Net Salary – Rs. 33,800
• Dearness Allowance – Rs. 23,730 (30% of net salary & DA)
