The Life Insurance Corporation of India will invite online applications for Class 3 posts of Assistant (Clerk) for performing the various duties of Clerical Staff, including Cashier, Single Window Operator, Customer Service Executive, etc. The selection of candidates for LIC Assistant will be based on their performance in the preliminary and main exams. Those who will clear the preliminary will be called to appear for the main exam. Only those candidates who are in between the age limits of  20 and 30 years will be able to apply for the exam.

LIC Assistant Previous Year Question Paper PDF

LIC Assistant exam will be conducted in two phases: preliminary and mains, for which the complete exam pattern has been discussed below-

LIC Assistant 2025 Prelims Exam Pattern

The written exam will contain 3 sections, namely: Reasoning, English Language / Hindi Language and Quantitative Aptitude. The total duration of the written exam will be 1 hour or 60 minutes. 0.25 marks will be deducted if a candidate attempts a question wrong. A preliminary examination consisting of objective tests will be conducted online. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added to the selection The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

LIC Assistant 2025 Mains Exam Pattern

The main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks. The objective test will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

• The candidates are required to qualify for each of the tests. Candidates will have to qualify in each of the objective tests
• There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the objective tests for the main examination. ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer, and
• Final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in the Main Examination (Phase II)
