IIT Kanpur has announced the JEE Advanced Exam Date 2025 for both Paper 1 and 2 on the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. As per the announcement, the JEE Advanced 2025 Exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025 (Sunday). Earlier, IIT Kanpur has now made the official announcement for the JEE Advanced 2025 Exam eligibility criteria, and the syllabus for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Only the top 2,50,000 candidates who qualified for the JEE Mains examination will be able to register themselves for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced 2025

JEE Advanced 2025 is a competitive exam that is held for admission to top engineering colleges in India. It’s the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and is for students who qualify for JEE Mains. The exam assesses candidates’ understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It consists of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2, each paper with multiple choice and numerical answers type questions. JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form

The JEE Advanced 2025 Application Forms will soon be made available by the IIT Kanpur at the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in. As per the released notice, the application forms will be released on April 23, 2025. The candidates will be required to fill in their personal, academic, educational, and communication information to register themself for the JEE Advanced 2025. The students who secure top ranks in JEE Mains and meet the age limit, number of attempts, and educational criteria, can apply for JEE Advanced to pursue admission to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology. 

How to Fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2025?

The JEE Advanced Application Form 2025 can be filled in through 4 stages which are as follows:

  2. Uploading of Documents
  3. Payment Process
  4. Final Submission

Registration 

  1. Login to Using JEE Advanced 2025 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address, the candidates would have to log in to register for the examination.
  2. Then a question will appear on your screen “Are you Interested in AAT 2025?”, Choose ‘Yes’ if you want admission to AAT 2025 else to choose ‘No’.
  3. Select the preferred exam centres from the list of exam centres.
  4. Fill in other details as required in the application form.

JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will release the admit cards for the upcoming JEE Advanced examination. The admit cards will be made available in online mode at the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced Admit Card 2025 comprises all important information like the exam date, timing, and venue, along with the candidate's personal details such name, roll number, photograph, and signature. Candidates are advised to download and print their admit card 2-3 weeks before the examination. 

JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), typically includes the points mentioned below. This is to inform all the students planning to appear in the JEE Advanced Examination 2025 that they must visit the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in for the most latest updates about the examination. As per newly updated eligibility criteria the team will be held three time in three consecutive years.

  1. Open- 40.5%
  2. General EWS – 10%
  3. OBC-NCL candidates – 27%
  4. SC candidates – 15%
  5. ST candidates – 7.5%
  6. PWD candidates - Horizontal reservation of 5% in all the above categories

Number of attempts

A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced three times in three consecutive years 

Performance in JEE Mains:

The candidate should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Mains. The category-wise distribution of this includes a specific number of seats for various categories.

Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination

The students should have passed their class 12 examination in 2022 or those who are appearing for the exam in 2024 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2025.

Earlier admission at IITs/ISM

A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Candidates whose admission at IITs was canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2025.

Age Limit 

The general category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. The age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.

Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2025.

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern

JEE Advanced 2025 will contain two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, with two language options viz. English and Hindi. Candidates must prepare for the exam by referring to the exam pattern prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. Preparing for the given exam with respect to the exam pattern will increase the chances of qualifying for the exam. JEE Advanced Result 2025 

After completion of the JEE Advanced Examination 2025, IIT Kanpur will be releasing the JEE Advanced Result 2025. As per updates, the results will be released by the month of June 2025. The results will be made available in online mode with the release of the JEE Advanced 2025 final answer key. Once released, candidates will be able to access them by visiting the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in.  

JEE Advanced Answer Key 2025

The IIT Kanpur will release the JEE Advanced Answer Key 2025 for papers 1 and 2 separately. The provisional answer key will be made available in online mode at the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. All the candidates are informed that no login credentials are required to access the provisional answer key. With the release of the answer key, the authorities will also provide an option to raise objections against the provisional answer key. 

JEE Advanced Cut Off 2025

Candidates belonging to different categories such as OBC-NCL, GEN-EWS, ST, SC, etc must aim to score more than the category-wise JEE Advanced Cut Off 2025 to qualify for the examination. Candidates can further participate in the counselling process by knowing their individual Cut Off.
