IIT Madras announced the JEE Advanced Exam Date 2024 on the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. As per the official announcement, the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam was successfully conducted on May 26, 2024 (Sunday) for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students who qualified for the JEE Mains 2024 Exam were only eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced Answer Key 2024
On June 09, 2024 the IIT Madras released the Final JEE Advanced Answer Key 2024 for papers 1 and 2 separately. The provisional answer key has been made available in online mode at the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. All the candidates are informed that no login credentials are required to access the provisional answer key. With the release of the answer key, the authorities have also provided an option to raise objections against the provisional answer key.
JEE Advanced 2024
JEE Advanced 2024 is a competitive exam that is held for admission to top engineering colleges in India. It’s the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and is for students who qualify for JEE Mains. The exam assesses candidates’ understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It consists of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2, each paper with multiple choice and numerical answers type questions. JEE Advanced is conducted every year by any one of the 7 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on the ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced 2024 Exam.

JEE Advanced 2024- Exam Summary
The JEE Advanced 2024 is the computer-based entrance test for which only the students who have qualified for the JEE Main Exam can appear. JEE Advanced 2024 Notification
The IIT Madras released the notification regarding the JEE Advanced 2024 registration process, the JEE advanced exam date, and many more. According to it, the authorities started the JEE Advanced 2024 registration process on April 27, 2024, and continued till May 07, 2024. All the interested candidates who have successfully registered themselves for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam were able to download their admit cards from May 17, 2024 onwards by visiting the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in.
JEE Advanced 2024 Admit Card
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras released the admit cards for the upcoming JEE Advanced examination on May 17, 2024. The admit cards were made available in online mode at the official website www.jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced Admit Card 2024 comprises all important information like the exam date, timing, and venue, along with the candidate's personal details such name, roll number, photograph, and signature. Candidates are advised to download and print their admit card 2-3 weeks before the examination.
JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Date
The exam dates for JEE Advanced 2024 have been released. As per the latest updates, IIT Madras was scheduled to conduct the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Paper 1 on May 26, 2024. JEE Advanced 2024 Application Form
The JEE Advanced 2024 Application Forms were released on April 27, 2024 by the IIT Madras at the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to register for the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam was May 07, 2024 at 05:00 pm. The candidates were required to fill in their personal, academic, educational, and communication information to register themself for the JEE Advanced 2024. Registration
- Login to Using JEE Advanced 2024 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address, the candidates would have to log in to register for the examination.
- Then a question will appear on your screen “Are you Interested in AAT 2024?”, Choose ‘Yes’ if you want admission to AAT 2024 else to choose ‘No’.
- Select the preferred exam centres from the list of exam centres.
- Fill in other details as required in the application form.

JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), typically includes the points mentioned below. This is to inform all the students planning to appear in the JEE Advanced Examination 2024 that they must visit the official website i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in for the most latest updates about the examination.
- Open- 40.5%
- General EWS – 10%
- OBC-NCL candidates – 27%
- SC candidates – 15%
- ST candidates – 7.5%
- PWD candidates - Horizontal reservation of 5% in all the above categories
Number of attempts
A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years
Performance in JEE Mains:
The candidate should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Mains. The category-wise distribution of this includes a specific number of seats for various categories.
Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination
The students should have passed their class 12 examination in 2022 or those who are appearing for the exam in 2024 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
Earlier admission at IITs/ISM
A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Candidates whose admission at IITs was canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2024.
Age Limit
The general category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. The age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced 2024 will contain two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, with two language options viz. English and Hindi. Candidates must prepare for the exam by referring to the exam pattern prescribed by the exam conducting authorities.
