What is CMAT?

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for getting students admitted into to management program (MBA/PGDM). CMAT is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India.  CMAT is a computer-based Online Test that is conducted to evaluate the candidates' ability across various segments like quantitative techniques, logical reasoning, language comprehension, general awareness, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

CMAT 2026 Registration 

The CMAT 2026 Registration process will soon be started at the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. Candidates are advised to read the instructions given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA Website carefully before filling out the CMAT 2025 application form. Candidates not complying with the Instructions shall be summarily disqualified. CMAT 2025 Application form can be filled through “Online” mode only. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one CMAT 2026 application, i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate, will not be accepted.

CMAT 2026 Application Fee

The CMAT 2026 Application fee has to be paid by the candidates willing to appear for the CMAT 2026 exam via online mode only. No request for refund of the CMAT 2026 Application fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstance. Steps to fill the CMAT 2026 Application Form

CMAT 2026 Registration process consists of 2 steps: Registration of the candidate and filling the application form. CMAT 2026 application form must be filled very carefully keeping all the instructions given by NTA in mind. Filling up of incorrect details might lead to the rejection of candidature. The entire CMAT 2026 Application Process will be carried out via online mode only. Adhere to the steps given below to fill out the CMAT 2026 application form easily.

Part A- CMAT 2026 Candidate Registration

Candidates who are appearing for the CMAT 2026 exam for the first time will have to register themselves and generate credentials. For candidates who are already registered can directly log in to fill out the CMAT 2026 application form. CMAT 2026 registration could be done in the following ways.

  1. Visit the official NTA website at www.cmat.nta.nic.in / www.nta.ac.in .
  2. Click on New Registration link.
  3. Fill in the details of online Registration using your own Email Id and Mobile No.
  4. Note down the system-generated Application Number once the registration is done.

Part B- CMAT 2026 Application Form 

To fill the CMAT 2026 application form correctly, follow these given steps.

  1. Login to the site again with the Registration credentials.
  2. Fill up the application form with all the necessary details carefully.
  3. Upload the required scanned image of a recent photograph.
  4. Upload the scanned image of the candidate's signature.
  5. A scanned image of the PwD certificate if applicable must also be uploaded.
  6. Pay the CMAT 2026 Application fee using SBI/HDFC Bank through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI and keep proof of fee paid.
  7. Download, save and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after the successful remittance of the fee) for future reference.

CMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications
  1. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  2. Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before the commencement of admission for the academic year 2024-25, can also apply for CMAT 2026.

CMAT 2026 Exam Pattern

CMAT 2026 exam will be of 400 marks with a total of 100 questions. Candidates must refer to the CMAT 2026 exam pattern before sitting for the CMAT 2025 exam to strategically attempt the questions.

  1. Every correct answer will earn 4 marks.
  2. For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
  3. Unanswered/un-attempted will be given no marks.
  4. In case a Question is dropped in CMAT 2026 exam due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

CMAT 2026 Exam Centre

NDA will release the list of cities where CMAT 2026 Examination Centers are located. Candidates are advised to appear at the CMAT 2026 exam centre on the same date and time as shown on their Admit Cards at their own cost. CMAT Previous Year Cut Off

CMAT Cut off is the minimum score required by the candidates to qualify for the selection rounds of the desired institute. CMAT cut-offs are decided on the basis of many parameters and are released by NTA after the successful commencement of the exam. CMAT is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to MBA/PGDM in participating institutes.
