Bihar SSC CGL Selection Process 2025
Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) will be recruiting candidates for different vacant posts based on two stages:
Stage 1- Prelims Exam
Stage 2- Mains Exam
Only those students who qualify for the Prelims Exam will be eligible to apply separately for the Mains Examination. For the Mains examination, BSSC CGL is expected to shortlist the applicants in the ratio of 1:5 concerning the total number of available vacancies.
BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
- The BSSC CGL Preliminary Exam is a qualifying exam.
- For the BSSC CGL Prelims, students will get 2 hours and 15 minutes to attempt all questions.
- For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Candidates qualifying for the BSSC CGL Preliminary Exam will be eligible to appear for the BSSC CGL Mains Exam.

BSSC CGL Mains Exam Pattern 2025
- The BSSC CGL 2025 Mains Exam will be held in the form of 2 papers.
- Candidates would be getting 2 hours and 15 minutes for each paper.
- Paper 1 will comprise a language paper (Hindi language) having 100 questions for a total of 400 marks.
- There will be a minimum qualifying mark of 30% in paper 1 and only the candidates securing 30 % marks will be eligible for paper 2.
- For the BSSC CGL 2025 Mains Paper 2 there will be 3 sections. The pattern and syllabus for paper 2 are similar to that of the BSSC CGL 2025 preliminary exam.
