BPSC 70th Prelims Exam Date 2024 

The BPSC 70th Prelims Exam Date 2024 has been released by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) through the official notice released on the official website https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/ on 18th October 2024. The BPSC 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination will be held on 13th December 2024. The prelims exam will be held in more than 30 districts and details regarding the exam will be released along with the prelims admit card.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has revised the vacancies to 2035 for Sub Divison Officer/Senior Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Commandant, Superintendent, Sub Registrar, Sub Election Officer, Assistant Director, District Minority Welfare Officer, Sugarcane Officer, and other posts. BPSC 2024 Application Form 

The online registration process for BPSC 70th CCE exam 2024 started on the official website of BPSC https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/. Candidates who have completed their graduation and are interested in the 70th combined competitive examination are advised to apply before the last date i.e. 04th November 2024 to avoid any kind of hindrance. BPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Bihar Public Service Commission has set the bars for selecting the candidates through a Combined Competitive Exam and only candidates holding the required eligibility criteria can apply for the BPSC 70th CCE Exam. 

BPSC Education Qualification 

• 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination - To be eligible to apply online for the BPSC 70th Combined Competitive Examination candidates must have completed their Graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
• For Child Development Project Officer Posts- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university and candidates have to select for the main exam from (1) Home Science (2) Psychology (3) Sociology (4) Labour and Social Welfare.

BPSC Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

BPSC 70th Exam 2024 Selection Process

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct the selection process in 3 stages for which we have provided the complete details below as mentioned in BPSC 70th Notification 2024:

1. Preliminary Examination (Qualifying): Candidates will first have to appear for the Preliminary Written Exam. This exam serves as a screening test and consists of multiple-choice questions. It is qualifying in nature. The syllabus for the prelims exam is provided below in this article.
2. Mains Examination: Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains Written Test. The main exam is more comprehensive and covers a wider range of subjects. It consists of descriptive-type questions, and the syllabus will also be specified in the official notification.
3. Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the main written test will be shortlisted for the interview stage. This is a personal interaction round where candidates’ communication skills, personality traits, and subject knowledge are assessed by a panel of experts.

BPSC 2024 Exam Pattern

The pattern for each stage of the BPSC 70th CCE exam 2024 has been discussed below.

1. The BPSC 70th Prelims exam will be of General Studies carrying 150 marks and the duration of the Prelims exam is 2 hours.
2. The BPSC 70th Prelims exam is of a qualifying nature only.
3. BPSC 70th Mains Exam consists of 4 subjects- General Hindi, General Studies Paper 1 & Paper 2 and an optional paper.
4. The duration of each paper in the BPSC 70th Mains Exam is 3 hours.
5. There will be a negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect answer.
6. The final merit list will be prepared based on marks scored in Mains & Interview only.

BPSC 2024 Salary 

Here, below we have discussed the pay scale and pay level for each post under the BPSC 2024 recruitment drive. The monthly pay scale of a Deputy Collector is Rs. 61,500/- to Rs. 72,000/- as per the pay level 9. 

BPSC 2024 Admit Card 

BPSC 70th Notification 2024 will be released on the official website along with prelims and mains exam date. The BPSC 70th Admit Card for the prelims exam will be issued tentatively 10 to 15 days before the exam date to all the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form. The candidates qualifying Prelims exam will be issued with BPSC 70th Admit Card 2024. 

BPSC 2024 Result 

BPSC Civil Services Prelims exam result is released followed by BPSC 70th Mains Result and Interview result. The prelims exam is of a qualifying nature just for shortlisting the candidates for the Mains exam. The candidates qualifying for BPSC 70th Mains will be called for BPSC 70th Interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the marks scored in BPSC 70th Mains & Interview only.
