The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the names of 14627 candidates who have successfully qualified for the UPSC Civil Service Mains Examination. The UPSC Prelims Roll Number-wise result pdf was released on 01st July 2024 and the UPSC Prelims name-wise result pdf was declared on 20th July 2024 online on the official website www.upsc.gov.in. All those candidates who appeared in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 and Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 can check their names in the result pdf to know whether they are qualified or not for the main exam.

The UPSC Civil Service Prelims Examination 2024 (UPSC CSE 2024) was successfully held on 16th June 2024 at various exam centers across the country. All those candidates whose names are listed in the result pdf are now eligible to appear for the main exam. This year around 13.5 lakh candidates appeared for the prelims exam out of which 14627 candidates were shortlisted for the main exam. The UPSC CSE main exam is scheduled to be held from 20th September 2024 onwards.

Through the recruitment drive, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits eligible candidates for All India Services and various Central Civil Services posts. A 1056 vacancies will be filled through the Civil Service Examination 2024 and 150 vacancies through the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024.

The UPSC has declared the UPSC Result with the name of provisionally shortlisted candidates for the mains exam. Candidates can check their results by following the below steps.

1. Visit the official website Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) https://upsc.gov.in/.
2. Click on “Written Result: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024” or “Written Result: Indian Forest Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024( THROUGH Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024)” for whichever exam you have appeared.
3. UPSC Prelims Result pdf appears on the screen with the names of the qualified candidates for the main exam
4.  Search for your roll number in the list of qualified candidates. If your name appears in the result pdf congratulations, you are selected for the main exam.
5. Download the result pdf and save it for future records.

What Next After UPSC Prelims Result 2024?

Candidates who decalred qualified in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are now called to appear for the main exam which will be held from 20th September 2024 onwards. The main Exam consists of a total of 9 descriptive type papers which are Any Indian language (compulsory), English,  Essay, General Studies 1, General Studies 2, General Studies 3, General Studies 4, Optional Subject Paper 1, and Optional Subject Paper 2. The exam will be held in two shifts each day, except for the Essay papaer.
