Selection Process for UP Constable Vacancy 2025

Candidates eligible for various Constable posts will be selected through the following stages.

Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST)	The candidate’s original documents shall be checked by the officials Physical Measurement Test (PMT) includes measurement of height & chest (only for males) Qualifying in nature.

UP Police Constable Physical Test 2025

The UP Police Constable Physical Test 2025 will include a running test. Apart from this, height, weight, and chest measurement are also taken. Further details are mentioned below;

Running Test: Male candidates have to complete a 4.8 km race in 25 minutes, and female candidates have to complete a 2.4 km race in 14 minutes.

Height:

The minimum height for men of the General/OBC category is 168 cm.
The minimum height for the SC Category is 160 cm.
The minimum height for female candidates is 152 cm, while for ST category women it is 147 cm.

Weight:

The minimum weight for men is 50 kg.
The minimum weight for women is 40 kg.

Chest Measurement:

For men, it should be 79 cm without inflation and 84 cm with inflation, minimum inflation of 5 cm.
For the SC category, it should be 77 cm without inflation and 82 cm when inflated, minimum inflation of 5 cm.

UP Police Constable Salary 2025

In 2025, a UP Police Constable’s monthly basic salary is Rs. 21,700. This corresponds to a yearly salary of approximately Rs. 260,400. Additionally, UP Police Constables receive various allowances and benefits. The pay scale is INR 5200 – 20200 per month with a Grade Pay of INR 2000. In addition to the basic salary, UP Police Constables are entitled to receive various allowances and benefits as per the 7th Pay Commission.
