The candidate’s minimum age should not be less than 21 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 42 years, i.e., the candidate should not have been born after 1st July 2004 and before 2nd July 1983.

UKPSC Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
Under the selection process for Assistant Forest Conservator, Logging Officer, and Forest Range Officer Combined Examination-2025, candidates have to undergo the preliminary examination, main examination, physical standard test, and an interview. The preliminary exam is a screening test that will be held for a total of 150 marks. The final merit list of candidates will be based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the main exam (700 marks) and interview (75 marks).

UKPSC FRO Exam Pattern 2025
The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has defined the UKPSC FRO Exam Pattern 2025, on which candidates have to go through the Preliminary, Mains followed by physical and an interview. After clearing all the stages candidates will be assigned the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forest, Logging officer, and Forest Range Officer.
UKPSC FRO Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
There are two sections in the UKPSC FRO Prelims examination which are General Studies and General Intelligence. The marks obtained in the FRO prelims exam will not be considered for the final merit list
- General Studies comprises 100 questions and General Intelligence contains 50 questions.
- The weightage for every question is 1 mark
- For each correct answer candidates will get 1 mark and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

UKPSC FRO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The UKPSC FRO Mains examination includes 2 language papers, Hindi & English, and one paper related to general knowledge, each paper has a weightage of 100 marks and two optional papers of 200 marks each. There is a provision for the deduction of marks in the main examination. Candidates must score at least 35% marks in the General Hindi paper, if they don’t, rest of the papers will not be evaluated.
- Answers written in pencil will not checked or evaluated.
- Mixed language cannot be used, if used 5% of marks will be deducted.
- Use of offensive language will result in 1 mark deduction
- 2 mark deduction, if name or roll number is written at places other than the designated place.
- Using ink other than blue and black will result in 2 mark deduction etc.

Candidates have to meet the below-mentioned physical requirements to qualify for the logging officer, FRO and AFC.

- For the Assistant Conservator, female candidates must walk 14 km in 4 hours
