On behalf of the Telangana State Government, Osmania University hires candidates for Assistant Professor & Lecturer in Telangana Universities and Colleges through Telangana Students’ eligibility . This examination is conducted once a year  The authorities have already activated an online application link for TS SET 2024 at official website www.telanganaset.org, interested candidates must apply before 2nd July 2024 without paying a late fee amount. Authorities have also specified that this state eligibility test will be conducted from 28th to 31st August 2024. TS SET 2024 Notification- Highlights

TS SET (Telangana State Eligibility Test) is a state-level teaching eligibility test conducted to determine the eligibility of Telangana students for Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Telangana universities and colleges. The Telangana State Eligibility Test will be conducted in various subjects at various exam centers in the state.

TS SET 2024- Important Dates

The eligible candidates have to fill out their TS SET Application Form 2024 online which link has been activated at www.telanganaset.org. The last date to submit the application fee is 2nd July 2024 (without late fee) and 26th July 2024 (with late fee). The authorities will also activate TS SET Hall Ticket 2024 link on 20th August 2024.   The schedule for TS SET 2024 has been released by the officials and the same has been updated below. 

Note- Candidates belonging to states outside Telangana will be counted as General (UR) candidates irrespective of their reservation.

Steps to Apply for TS SET Exam 2024

Those who want to apply for this state eligibility test, he/she can follow a few steps that are mentioned below any easily fill out application form for upcoming examination.

1. Open official portal of Telangana State Eligibility Test-2024 i.e. www.telanganaset.org.

2. Scroll down on home screen and find ‘Useful Links’ section.

3. Now, click on ‘Apply Online’ tab under this section, and a new page will appear.

4. Read out all instructions as displayed on screen and then click ‘Apply Now’ button.

5. Now start entering your name, parent’s name, category, date of birth, e-mail ID, address, mobile number, educational qualifications, preferred exam center, etc.

6. Create a password after entering all relevant information and then enter security pin as displayed on screen.

7.  Click on ‘Continue’ button and then upload necessary documents including a photograph, signature, caste certificate, etc. in a prescribed format.

8. Now, pay examination fee as per your specific category and submit the application form.

TS SET Exam 2024 Application Fees

Those who have to appear in the Telangana State Eligibility Test, need to pay an examination fee while filling out an application form which will not be refunded/adjusted in any situation. Only online payment modes are accepted, payment received through money order, IPO, etc. will not be considered. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs. 2000/- for TS SET 2024 examination.

TS SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those who want to apply for TS SET examination must fulfill some basic eligibility norms as prescribed in TS SET Notification 2024, only the candidates fulfilling these requirements can appear for this state eligibility test, otherwise will be disqualified.

Educational Qualification

Here, below we have mentioned some important educational qualifications that are necessary to be acquired by candidates if they want to apply for Assistant or Lecturer posts in universities and colleges of Telangana.

• Candidates may apply if they have scored 555 marks (without rounding off) in a master’s degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA, and M.Tech (CSE & IT only).
• Candidates belonging to the Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories who have scored at least 50% of marks in their master’s degree (without rounding off) are also eligible.
• Ph.D. holders who passed their Master’s degree examination before September 19, 1991, (regardless of the date the results were announced) will be allowed for a 5% aggregate mark relaxation, or a drop from 55% to 50%, to appear in SET.
• Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course, candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this TS SET 2024 examination.

Age Limit

The exam conducting authorities haven’t specified any age limit for TS SET examination, candidates just need to fulfil educational qualification requirements irrespective of upper age limit to apply for Telangana State Eligibility Test.

TS SET Exam Pattern 2024

The TS SET Exam 2024 will include two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II which will be conducted in a single session for 3 hours (180 minutes). Those who want to appear for this examination, need to properly understand its exam pattern to get a better idea of the exam.

• Each question carries 2 marks, i.e. candidates will be rewarded +2 for every correct answer in both papers.
• There will only be objective-type questions in Paper I and II both.
• All questions are compulsory to attempt in both papers.
• The mode of TS SET exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
• The language of examination will be bilingual i.e. in English and Telugu language.
