TNUSRB SI Physical Test 2025: PET and PST Requirements

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) released the notification for the recruitment of 1299 vacancies for the posts of Sub-Inspector. Interested candidates who have applied for the recruitment must fulfill the TNUSRB SI Physical test criteria for the year 2025. In this article, we shared detailed information about the TNUSRB SI Physical Test (PET and PST requirements, such as height, chest, and running events).

TNUSRB SI Physical Test 2025

After qualifying in the written exam, candidates have to appear for the Physical Test, which includes various parameters. Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) will conduct a physical test in two steps, which is Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Endurance Test (ET) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only those candidates who pass the PMT & PET will qualify for the post of Sub-Inspectors.

TNUSRB SI Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

The TNUSRB SI Physical Measurement Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates must fulfil the minimum physical standards, including height and chest measurements (for male candidates only) and height measurements for women and transgender candidates.

Rounding off of Height and Chest Measurements:

The physical measurements (Height/Chest) will be rounded to 0.5 cm to manage the margin of error, as shown in the formula below.

The same procedure shall be followed in the Chest measurement.
The same procedure shall also be followed for women candidates during height measurement.

TNUSRB SI Physical Endurance Test

It is must for all candidates to appear in the Endurance Test, and it’s qualifying in nature. Only the candidates who qualify in the Endurance Test will be eligible to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test.

TNUSRB SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Only the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement and Physical Endurance Test will be eligible for the Physical Efficiency Test. PET carries a total of 15 marks in the TNUSRB SI exam. If the candidate fails in the PET event, zero marks will be given, they will be allowed to participate in the next event.

For Male Candidates:-

  • Three chances will be given to male candidates in rope climbing, and it is mandatory to attend.
  • Three attempts will be given for the Long Jump or High Jump. The highest score will be considered for the qualification.
  • Male candidates have only one chance for the 100-meter or 400-meter run.

  • Female/Transgender candidates have three chances to attempt the Long jump and Shotput / Cricket ball throw.
  • Female/Transgender candidates also have only one chance for the 100-meter or 200-meter run.
