RPF SI Physical Test 2025: PET/ PMT Dates, Requirements for Male and Female

The RPF SI Result 2025 of the computer-based exam held for Sub-Inspector posts has been released today, 3rd March 2025, listing the roll number of candidates shortlisted to appear for the next stage of the selection process i.e. Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test. As per the result pdf, a total of 4725 candidates have been selected to appear for PET/PMT. The RPF SI PET PST exam will comprise two stages: the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST), which will be conducted to assess the candidates’ physical fitness and endurance. RPF SI Physical Test 2025

Through the RPF SI Exam, the RPF aims to fill a total of 450 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors (SI). The exam consists of two stages: Computer Based Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test and Document Verification. The first stage of the CBT exam has been completed, and the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted only for the candidates who qualify in the written exam. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded for it. The Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from PET, however, they will have to undergo PMT.

RPF SI Physical Date 2025

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will conduct the  RPF SI physical tests to assess candidates’ fitness for the job. All shortlisted candidates must participate in the PST & PET stage and begin their preparation for the physical efficiency test to proceed further. The details scheduled for the Physical exam will be released by RPF through Website/SMS/Email in due course. Candidates who qualify in PET/PMT will have to undergo document verification, which will be done on the same day.

RPF Sub-Inspector Physical Test 2025

The RPF SI Physical Test ensures that candidates are physically capable of meeting the demands of the job. The Physical Efficiency Test will test the candidates’ physical activities such as running, long jump, and high jump for both male and female candidates, and the Physical Standards Test includes physical measurements of candidates through height, chest, and weight measurements for male and female candidates.

RPF SI PST (Physical Measurement Test)

The RPF SI Physical Standard Test (PST) is held to test whether the shortlisted candidates meet the required physical requirements such as chest, weight, and height. The physical measurements are different for male and female candidates. Candidates who don’t fulfill the required measurement will be eliminated for the next phase selection process.

RPF SI PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

In the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), candidates have to complete given activities within the given time limits. For running event candidates, only one chance, and for the remaining events, viz., Long Jump and High jump, the candidates will be given up to 2 chances each.

RPF SI PET for Male Candidates

Male candidates are required to complete a 1600-meter distance within 6 minutes 30 seconds.
