Rajasthan Judiciary Selection Process 2025
Before a candidate is chosen, they must pass several levels of the Rajasthan Judicial Services exam. Below is a briefing on the selection procedure:
- Preliminary Exam: There is only one paper on “General Studies” in the preliminary exam. In two hours, 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks must be answered.
- Main Exam: Those who pass the preliminary exam will be invited to the main exam. Written exams are of 100 marks each and are descriptive in nature.
- Interview: Those who pass the main exam are invited for the interview round. The written exam plus the personality test make up the main exam.

The Rajathan Judiciary Services 2025 exam pattern for the preliminary exam requires candidates to attempt 100 questions for 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in Rajasthan judicial exams for the post of civil judges.

Rajasthan Judiciary Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The Rajasthan Judiciary Mains Exam is subjective in nature, and the candidates need to write long answers for every question. Judgement writing and charge framing are scoring topics in the main exam. Every law paper is of 3 hours, while the total marks for each is 100. The language papers are of 2 hours each and 50 marks.

Rajasthan Judiciary Interview 2025
The Rajasthan Judiciary Personality Test is the final round of the selection process. It requires candidates to appear for a face-to-face interview in front of a panel. It carries 35 marks, and the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the main written exam and interview. The candidates in the interview are evaluated on the basis of the candidate’s knowledge on legal issues and general awareness; it is a test of the candidate’s personality, Rajasthan dialects, and his/her knowledge of social customs.

The topics of the law paper hold a weightage of 70% in the overall exam. The candidates can prepare these topics for the prelims exam. Many of these topics are common for the main exam, but the level of understanding for the main exam is much higher than prelims.

The candidate appearing in the Rajisthan Judicial Services exam must be proficient in Hindi, as all the documents are prepared in Hindi itself. As well as being the most spoken language in the state.

Rajasthan Judiciary Mains Syllabus 2025
The Rajasthan Judiciary Main Examination is subjective in nature. There are two law papers and two language papers. The Law papers are 3 hours long with 100 marks each. The language papers are 2 hours long with 50 marks each. In this, the candidates writing skills are assessed. They want the candidates to write essays in both Hindi and English.

Rajasthan Judiciary Minimum Qualifying Marks 2025
The candidates need to have a minimum score to clear the main exam of the Rajasthan Judicial Services.

- SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen need 30% in each Law paper
