Steps to Apply for the OSSC CRE Recruitment 2025
Candidates who wish to apply for the OSSC Common Recruitment Examination must follow the steps provided below-
- Visit the Commission’s website, www.ossc.gov.in and click on the “APPLY ONLINE” button to register.
- Click on the Registration as a New User to proceed to registration.
- Provide your Email ID and Mobile Number, then click “Proceed” to continue.
- You will receive an OTP on your Email and Mobile Number. Enter the OTP and click “Next” to continue.
- After verifying the registration page will open, enter posts name, fill required details and upload the documents, Picture, signature and Thumb.
- Again login and preview your details and submit the application form.
OSSC CRE Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates should check the OSSC CRE Eligibility Criteria 2025 before applying. If candidates do not meet these standards, they will be disqualified from the selection process. The education and age requirements for the OSSC CRE Recruitment 2025 has been explained below.
General Criteria for Eligibility
Candidates applying for the posts must have the ability to read, write, and speak Odia fluently, and,
- Passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a subject.
- Passed HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as the medium of instruction.
- Passed Odia as a subject in the final exam of Class VII or above from a recognized school.
- Passed an Odia test at the Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department, Govt.. of Odisha.

The selection process for OSSC CRE is based on four stages.
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Written Examination

OSSC CRE Exam Pattern 2025
The exam pattern for Junior Stenographer and Junior Grade Typist, and Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant is as follows-
- There will be a 400-mark exam.
- Stage 1 is qualifying in nature.
- For the Junior Stenographer position, selection will be based on the Main Written Exam, Computer Skill Test, and Stenography Test.
- For the Junior Grade Typist and Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant positions, selection will be based on the Main Written Exam, Computer Skill Test, and Typing Test
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer if options are four, 0.33 marks will be deducted if options are three.
