OSAP IRB Constable Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before submitting application forms for Odisha Police Recruitment 2024 candidates must ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility for Sepoys/ Constables posts in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Nationality

The candidates must be unmarried male/female and should be:

• Citizen of India, or
• Subject of Bhutan, or
• Subject of Nepal, or
• Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam to permanently settle in India

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have passed the High School Certificate Examination (Matriculation / 10th Class Pass) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent examination conducted by any other recognized Board or Council.

Odisha Police Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for  Sepoys/ Constables in OSAP IRB is based on candidates’ performance in Written Examinations, Physical Tests, Driving Tests, and Medical Examinations. The final selection list will be prepared in decreasing order of aggregate marks secured by them in written examinations, driving tests, and NCC equal to the number of vacancies advertised. 02 bonus marks will be awarded to the candidates for possessing one or more NCC certificates like: ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’. These marks shall be awarded after due verification of original certificates.

Odisha Police Exam Pattern 2024

• The Odisha Police written test will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Recruitment
  Examination (CBRE).
• The questions asked topics from Odia language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Situational Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
• The exam consists of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks.
• The time duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
• Each correct answer will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The medium of written examination shall be in English and Odia, except the questions in Odia language.
• The standard of the questions papaer is High School Certificate Examination (10th Class).

Minimum Qualifying Marks

The minimum percentage of marks for qualifying in the written exam will be as under:

• UR and SEBC – 35 marks out of 100
• SC/ST/OBC – 33 marks out of 100

OSAP IRB Constable Physical Standards Test

Based on the candidates’ performance in the OMR Written Examination, a total of five times the category-wise vacancies for each District/Establishment will be called to appear for the Physical Standards Measurement in order of merit. Only those who qualify in the Physical Standards Measurement will be allowed to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test.

Odisha Police Constable Salary 2024

The candidates appointed for Sepoys/ Constables posts under OSAP IRB Recruitment 2024 will be paid a monthly salary of Rs 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 under Pay Level 05. Along with salary candidates will be offered the various allowance and perks as per government rules.
