Those who want to apply for NIELIT Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2025 need to pay an application fee of Rs. 800/-, unless exempted under the reserved category. The candidates need to pay the fee through online mode only, as fees through any other mode like demand draft, pay order, cheque, or challan will not be accepted.

Educational Qualification

For the NIELIT Scientific Assistant Post that is non-gazetted, non-ministerial, and scientific & technical, the candidate must have a B.E., B.Tech., / M.Sc. in any one or in a combination of the following: electronics, electronics & Communications / Electronics & Telecommunications / Computer Science / Computer & Networking Security / Software system / Information Technology / Electrical / Informatics.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for scientific assistant posts is up to 30 years as of the closing date of applications.

NIELIT Selection Process

The NIELIT Scientific Assistant recruitment 2025 has a very simple selection process. The candidates have to appear only for the written exam, and then the merit list will be prepared. The NIELIT Scientific Assistant Merit List will be prepared stream-wise (EC/CS/IT), and vacancies will be filled stream-wise as per reservation.

NIELIT Exam Pattern

The NIELIT exam pattern has only one written test, and those who clear the test can get appointed as scientific assistants. Here are the key points in the NIELIT exam pattern.

• The NIELIT written exam is objective type and OMR based consisting of questions from Technical and Generic Area. The duration of written test will be 3 hours.
• There will be total of 120 objective type Questions consisting of 65% questions from Technical Area of respective stream and 35% questions from Generic Area.
• Every Question will carry 1 (one) mark and there will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer
• The Generic Area will comprise of Logical, Analytical Reasoning Capabilities, Quantitative and Qualitative abilities and General Awareness and Aptitude
