India Post GDS Result 2025, Check 1st Merit List Release Date

Indian Post, under the Ministry of Communication, will be releasing India Post GDS Result 2025 and GDS 1st Merit List soon on their official website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ by the end of March 2025. This year, India Post released 21413 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) posts. The name and roll numbers of candidates shortlisted to appear for Document Verification will be uploaded separately for all 23 circles.

India Post Office GDS Result 2025 will be released in PDF format with the roll number of the shortlisted candidates who are eligible for the document verification round. The GDS 1st merit list will be released for all circles only for the candidates whose GDS Application Status 2025 is displayed as accepted. The GDS Result and Merit List pdf will be released circle-wise on the official website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. As the merit list will be released, the shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a physical verification process and submit an undertaking regarding the authenticity of their application details,​ for which information will be shared shortly after the release of the Merit List.

The candidates whose names will be listed in the GDS Result 2025 PDF, which will be released circle-wise will have to appear for the document verification round to get a final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles. The India Post GDS Recruitment 2025 process is connected to fill 21413 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM). GDS Result 2025 Merit List PDFs will be released circle-wise/state-wise in PDF format with the registration numbers of candidates who will be shortlisted to appear for document verification. The 1st Merit List will be released separately for all 23 circles, and as per the previous year’s trend, more merit lists can also be released.

1. Open the official website of India Post GDS Online at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ on your internet browser.
2. On the left side of the homepage, search for Candidate’s Corner.
3. Now under the candidate’s corner, search for “GDS Online Engagement Schedule, 2025 Shortlisted Candidates”.
4. The list of circles for which the GDS Result 2025 will be uploaded appears.
5. Click on the circle you have applied for.
6. Download the 1st Merit List PDF for your respective circle.
7. Search for your roll number with the Ctrl+F shortcut in the list of shortlisted candidates.

What after India Post GDS Merit List 2025?

Please take note of the following information: The candidates whose names are listed in the GDS Result 2025 PDF, which will be released circle-wise, must participate in the document verification round to secure a final appointment to the positions of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles. Those who have been shortlisted should have their documents verified by the Divisional Head indicated next to their names.The candidates have to carry the following documents for DV.

1. 10th/SSC/SSLC Original Marks Memo of the candidates
2. Caste or Community Certificate (For candidates from reserved category)
3. 60 days Computer knowledge Trained Certificate From a recognized institute
4. Physically Handicapped Certificate (If Applicable)
