World War Orphans Day- 6th January 2024

National Milk day- 11th January 2024
National Milk Day is observed on January 11th which is celebrated for the reason to mark the day when the first milk deliveries in glass bottles had begun in the United States. Alexander Campbell of the New York Dairy Company declared that his company was the first company who made this delivery in 1878.
National Youth Day- 12th January 2024
The 12th of January every year is observed to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s birthday. He was born on 12th January in the year 1863 in Kolkata. He was a great philosopher, activist, social reformer, and thinker. He was a follower of Ramakrishna, he founded the Ramakrishna Mission in 1897.
Makar Sankranti- 14th January 2024
Makar Sankranti is a propitious day when the sun enters the zodiac sign Capricorn (makar rekha) which signifies the end of winter and the beginning of warmer months and longer days. Also this day marks the onset of spring season which symbolises new blossoms and harvest. It is also called as Uttarayan as from this day onwards the sun begins its journey to the north which is known as Uttarayan journey.
