Steps to apply for the HP Police Constable 2024

Candidates can easily apply for the post of female and male constable by following a few easy steps without any hassle, the following are the steps to apply for the HP Police Constable Recruitment 2024.

1. First visit the official website of HSSC, http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/.
2. Scroll down to the section to “Apply Online” and click on One Time Registration.
3. Then fill in all your details, email, category, education, etc.
4. Once that is done Upload all the essential documents like identity proof, category certificate, Educational Certificate, etc.

Documents required while filling out the application form

The candidates should have soft copies of a few important documents that will be asked for at the time of examination available to them. As per the official notification the documents required while filling out the form are given below.

• Matriculation certificate.
• +2 Certificate.
• NCC Certificate
• Category Certificate
• Service Certificate in case of HG candidates (Home Guards) issued by the Commandant Home Guards
• Bonafide Himachali Certificate, (If the Matriculation and 10+2 examinations have been
  passed by the Candidate from the institutions situated outside the State).

HPPSC Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates need to have minimum eligibility criteria as per the official notification of the HPPSC Police Constable Recruitment 2024. The HPPSC has set up a few parameters and candidates have to clear each parameter, they are as follows.

To fill the application form the candidates need to have the minimum educational qualification of Matriculation and +2 from any Institution/School/ Board situated within
Himachal Pradesh.

Age (as on 01-01-2024)

The age limit set up by HPPSC is 18-26 years as on 01-01-2024, but the age limit for male and female candidates is same but it varies along the lines of different categories. The detailed description of the age limit of different categories is given in the table below.

Height and Chest

HPPSC has set up eligibility for candidates in terms of height and chest, although the category of chest doesn’t apply to female candidates. Again Height and chest vary for different category which given in the table below.

HPPSC Police Constable Selection Process 2024

The selection process for the HP Police Constable Recruitment 2024 has four stages, Stage 1 is Physical Test, Stage 2 is Written Examination, Stage 3 is Evaluation and Document Verification and Stage 4 is Medical Examination. Brief details of each stage in the selection process are given below.

• Stage 1: The first stage includes a physical test consisting of PST and PMT.
• Stage 2: Second stage is a written exam conducted for 2 hours carrying of 90 marks consisting of 90 question.
• Stage 3: Third stage of the exam consists of evaluating and verification of documents
• Stage 4: The last stage is the medical examination to see whether the candidate is medically fit or not.

HPPSC Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024

The candidates registering for the HPPSC Police Constable Recruitment 2024 should be aware of the various details regarding the like no. of question, total number of marks assigned and negative marking etc., for the HPPSC Police Constable Written Exam 2024. The HPPSC Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024 is as follows.

• Mode of Examination: Offline
• Type Of Exam: OMR-Based
• Total Marks: 90 Marks
• No. of Questions: 90 questions
• Marking Scheme: 1 marks assigned for every right answer
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer

Physical Test Details

The first stage that every candidate has to clear is the Physical Test which contains of Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). In the PST marks are given on the basis of height where as PET contains races, high and broad jumps. The details of both PET and PST is given in the two sections below.

Physical Standard Test (Physical Test)

The Himachal Pradesh Police Department will conduct a Physical Standard Test, during which a Medical Officer will take all necessary measurements. These will be recorded by the Medical Officer, and marks will be assigned according to the Physical Standard for both male and female. Marks will be awarded solely based on height according to the following table:

Physical Efficiency Test (PST)

Physical Efficiency Test (PST) tests the efficiency of the candidates on the basis of three parameters which are two races, high jumps and broad jump. Each of these parameters are different for male and female candidates and are given in the table below.
