DEE Assam Teacher Vacancy 2025

The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam, has announced a total of 4,500 teacher vacancies. These vacancies are divided into two categories: 1,600 vacancies are available for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in Upper Primary Schools, while 2,900 vacancies are available for Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary Schools.

DEE Assam Assistant Teachers 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 1/01/2025)

Candidates from the unreserved category must attain an age between 18 and 40 years as of 1st January 2025. However, age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories, such as SC/ST, OBC, and persons with disabilities, in accordance with government rules.

DEE Assam Assistant Teachers 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in Lower and Upper Primary schools in Assam is merit-based, depending on candidates’ performance in their Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary examinations. The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam will release separate merit lists for each district and category on their official website.

  • 85% of marks secured in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools
  • 5 Marks (Maximum) (For extra Circular Activity)

DEE Assam Teachers Salary 2025

Candidates who will be recruited for Teacher vacancies under the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam will be paid a monthly salary along with allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment). The pay scale for Assam Teacher salary is Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus under Pay Band – 2 (PB-2).
