CTET Exam Date 2025, Exam Expected on 6 July

CTET Exam is a national eligibility test conducted twice every year in July and December months to determine the eligibility to teach in Primary (1 to 5) and Elementary classes (6 to 8). For this year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-July). Candidates who want to appear for the CTET July Exam must submit their application forms which will be released along with notification in April 2025 and after that, the CTET Exam will be conducted in July 2025.

CTET Exam Date 2025

As expected, CTET 2025 exam for the July session can be conducted on 6th July 2025, however, the confirmed date will be announced soon on the official website https://ctet.nic.in/. CTET Exam consists of two papers, Paper I will be conducted for candidates interested in teaching classes 1 to 5 and Paper II will be conducted for those who want to teach 6 to 8 classes. Candidates must qualify for the eligibility test to apply for teaching examinations in Central Government schools such as NVS, KVS, etc. The CTET 2025 Exam will be conducted offline mode in two sessions at various exam centres.

CTET July Exam Date 2025

As this is the eligibility exam, candidates belonging to the general categories, have to score 60% of marks i.e., 90 and 82 marks for other categories. CTET Exam Date 2025 Shift Timings

The exam paper will be held in morning and evening shifts. Shift 1 will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12 noon and shift 2 will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm in the evening session.

CTET 2025 Exam Pattern

Paper I (Class I to V) includes five subjects, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, 2, Maths, and Environmental Studies with 30 questions asked from each section which gives a total of 150 marks.

Paper II (Class VI to VIII) consists of four subjects, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language II, II, and the concerned subject. The candidates have to select one subject between maths, science, and social studies. The concerned discipline subject has the highest weightage of 60 marks whereas the other three sections carry 30 marks each.
