Candidates who applied for CSIR NAL Technical Assistant Recruitment 2025 have to go through a 2 stage selection process to be selected and both stages are important to be qualified to be selected. The detailed selection process is discussed below;

Trade Test: Short-listed candidates will first undergo a Skill/Trade Test where their practical abilities related to the technical domain will be assessed. The test evaluates candidates’ proficiency in handling tools and equipment relevant to the role of a Technical Assistant in a CSIR laboratory.

Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Trade Test will proceed to the Written Test, which consists of three papers. Paper I covers the Mental Ability Test, while Paper II focuses on General Awareness and the English Language. Paper III assesses subject-specific knowledge. The final merit list will be determined based on the performance in Paper II and Paper III.
