The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute Delhi has released the official notice regarding the CSIR CRRI Exam Date 2025 on 3rd May 2025 at the official website www.crridom.gov.in. The CSIR CRRI written examination (CBT) for the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen/F&A/S&P) and Jr. Stenographers will be held from 13th May to 20th May 2025 in two shifts each day in Delhi NCR only. CSIR CRRI JSA & Stenographer Selection Process 2025
The selection process set by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) varies post vise. The Junior Secretariat Assistant & Junior Stenographer posts selection process are discussed below;
Selection Process for Junior Stenographer Post
Candidates who will apply for the Junior Stenographer post have to go through a 3-stage selection process that includes a Competitive Written Examination, a Proficiency Test in Stenography & Merit List.
- Written Examination: The written exam will be an OMR-based exam or Computer Based Objective type multiple choice examination. The questions will be set in both English and Hindi except the questions in English Language.
- Proficiency Test in Stenography: The proficiency test will only be qualifying in nature. : The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in their application form) at the speed of 80 w.p.m.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the Competitive Written Examination. The merit list will only comprise those candidates who have qualified for the proficiency test in stenography.
Selection Process for Junior Secretariat Assistant Post
Candidates who will apply for the Junior Secretariat Assistant Post also have to go through a 3-stage selection process that includes a Competitive Written Examination, a Proficiency Test in Computer & Merit List.
- Written Examination: For the Junior Secretariat Assistant Post, there will be two papers (paper 1 and Paper 2). Paper 2 will be evaluated for only those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper 1. Paper 1 is qualifying in nature. A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper 2.
- Computer Proficiency Test: English Typing @ 35 w.p.m and Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. The time allotted for typing will be 10 minutes 35 / 30 w.p.m. corresponding to 10500 / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depression for each word. All the candidates who will be shortlisted by the Selection Committee based on their performance in the Competitive Written Examination will be called for the Proficiency/Typing Test in Computer.
- Merit List: Proficiency Test in Computer is qualifying in nature. Paper 1 of the Written Examination is also qualifying in nature. The Selection Committee will fix the minimum cut-off marks in Paper 1. The Final Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Paper 2.

Candidates who want to recruit as Junior Stenographer has to go through a written exam that will be OMR-based or Computer-based Objective type multiple choice examination. The questions will be set in both English and Hindi except the questions in English Language. A total of 200 questions will be appearing in the exam. The total time allotted will be 2 hours (2 hours and 40 mins. for candidates eligible for scribe)
