BSSC CGL Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern

Those candidates who need to be hired for various graduate-level posts need to appear for Combined Graduate Level examination. To appear in this exam, candidates must be well aware of marking scheme, number of questions, exam duration, etc. This CGL exam is conducted in two stages i.e. prelims and mains, so candidates must refer to exam pattern for both these examinations.

BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary examination of BSSC CGL 2025 will be conducted for a total of 600 marks and is qualifying in nature. Candidates can refer to points and table to get a detailed exam pattern for the prelims exam.

• There will be a total of 150 questions from General Science & Maths, General Studies, Logical Reasoning/Mental Ability/Comprehension subjects.
• All questions will be objective-type questions.
• Each question carries 4 marks i.e. candidates will get +4 for every correct answer.
• The BSSC CGL exam will be conducted for a total duration of 2 hours 15 minutes.

BSSC CGL Mains Exam

• For both papers, marks awarded for correct answers are 4.
• Paper 1 will be conducted for a total of 400 marks and paper 2 for 600 marks.

BSSC CGL Notification 2025 Selection Process

Selection of candidates for BSSC CGL 2025 posts is based on a two-stage selection process i.e. preliminary and mains examination. Those candidates who successfully pass both these stages will be called up for their verification of documents.

1. Preliminary Examination:- Selection of candidates for various graduate-level posts begins with a preliminary examination of 600 marks which is qualifying in nature.

2. Mains Examination:- After passing BSSC CGL prelims stage, shortlisted candidates will appear for main examination and those who clear this stage will appear for Document Verification.
