Bihar Police Home Guard Physical Test 2025: PET/PST Details for Males & Females

The Bihar Home Department has released the Bihar Police Home Guard Notification 2025 pdf along with physical details, testing the candidate’s physical capabilities for Home Guard posts. Through the recruitment drive, a total of 15000 vacancies will be filled, for which the selection process includes the Physical Test and Medical Examination. Bihar Police Home Guard Physical Test

The Bihar Police Home Guard Physical Test comprises two stages: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST). The Physical Test ensures that candidates are physically capable and have the necessary stamina to perform their duties effectively for the job, including activities such as running, long jumping, and high jumping. A 12th pass candidate fulfilling the required eligibility and aspiring to join the state security force in the state must familiarize yourself with the specific events included in the PET and increase your chances of success in the exam.

The Bihar Police Home Guard Physical Standard Test ensures that candidates meet the minimum physical standards, including height and chest measurements (for male candidates only).

Bihar Police Home Guard Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted for 15 marks. The PMT includes three events, namely the long jump, high jump, and Short Put Throw. Each event comprises 5 marks. Based on candidates’ performance, marks will be given andthe  final merit list will be based on the total marks obtained in PET.

Race for Male and Female Candidates

Male candidates have to run 1600 meters in 6 minutes, same as for female candidates have to run 800 meatrs in 5 minutes to qualify the event. No marks will be awarded for a running event. Candidates who run as per parameter will be eligible to appear for a physical standard test to evaluate their physical standards, including Height and Chest parameters.

High Jump

The male candidates who jump 5 Feet or more and female jump 5 Feet or more will receive the highest 5 scores. Candidates receive points as follows:

Long Jump

A long jump must be at least 12 feet for male candidates and 9 feet for female candidates.; anything less will result in disqualification. Maximum marks are awarded for a long jump of more than 16 feet for males, and for females, this is 13 feet.

Short Put Throw

Male candidates have to throw at least 16 feet, and female candidates are required to throw gola at least 10 feet to avoid disqualification in this event. The scoring system for throws made from shorter distances is outlined as follows:–
