The India Post released the Assam GDS Result 2025 and 1st Merit List on 21st March 2025 on its official website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. As per the result, a total of 655 candidates are selected for Assam Circle for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) post. Candidates whose registration numbers are mentioned in the result pdf are now required to appear for a document verification process by the mentioned divisional head against their names on or before 7th April 2025.

The India Post Recruitment 2025 was conducted by India Post to recruit a total of 655 vacancies for GDS posts [i.e. Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevaks] in Assam circle. The selection of candidates for GDS posts is based on the merit of the marks obtained in Class 10th. The GDS Result 2025 for Assam Circle has been released at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ in PDF format including the registration number of selected candidates. Candidates can follow the below step-by-step process to check the Assam GDS Result.
- Web browser and go to the official website of India Post GDS at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.
- On the left side of the homepage search for Candidate’s Corner.
- Now under, the candidate’s corner, search for “GDS Online Engagement Schedule-I, July-2025 : List-I of Shortlisted Candidates Published” and click on it.
- The Assam GDS GDS Result 2025 and Merit List PDF appear on the system screen.
- Search for your roll number with the Ctrl+F shortcut in the list of shortlisted candidates.
- Download the 1st Merit List PDF for your Assam circle and save it for future records.
What Next After Assam GDS Result 2025?
The candidates who are shortlisted have to appear for a document verification process on or before 7th April 2025. In the DV process candidates have to carry originals and two sets of self-attested photocopies of all the relevant documents mentioned divisional head against their registration number. The final selection of applicants will be based on physical verification of the original documents by the Divisional or unit Head of the Division or unit where the vacancy is notified.
