AIIMS NORCET 8 2025

The AIIMS NORCET, which stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test, is conducted for the recruitment of Nursing Officer positions. Candidates will be selected through two stages of Computer-Based Testing (CBT 1 and CBT 2). The preliminary stage of the AIIMS Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-8) for 2025 is scheduled for 12th April 2025 (Saturday). To submit the application form for AIIMS NORCET 2025 Exam, the candidates have to pay the required application fee along with the duly filed application forms. The application fee is to be paid online through debit card/credit card/ net banking. The fee for SC/ST candidates will be refunded after they appear for the examination.

Steps to Apply Online for AIIMS NORCET 8

Candidates can apply online for AIIMS NORCET 8 by following the below step by step process.

1. Visit the official website of All India Institutes of Medical Sciences at https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/.
2. Under the important announcement section, select the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) – 8.
3. For new registration click on ‘Create a New Account’ and enter all personal details such as the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name mobile number, and email ID.
4. A candidate ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID.
5. Click on the new ‘Login to Apply’ and enter valid login details i.e. Candidates registered ID or mobile number and Password.
6. Fill Enter educational details like the qualifying exam, college name, admission, and passing dates.
7. Enter the registration number of the candidate with which he/she is registered with the Nursing Council of India/ State Nursing Council.
8. Select the name of the State Nursing Council and enter the date of issuance of the registration number.
9. Pay the application fee as per category through online mode.
10. Upload a photograph, signature, and thumb impression of the candidate in a specific format.

AIIMS NORCET 8 2025 Eligibility Criteria

All those candidates who are interested in the recruitment of Nursing Officer posts must be aware that they fulfill the required eligibility in terms of educational qualification and age limit.  Candidates who don’t fulfill the required eligibility for NO post their application forms and selection will be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Educational Qualifications

• The candidates must have registered as Nurses & midwives with the State / Indian Nursing Council.
• Candidates must have completed a B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council-recognized Institute or University (OR)
  Candidates must possess a B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/ University.

•  Those who are registered as Nurses & midwives in the State / Indian Nursing Council.
• Candidates having a diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board or Council are also eligible.
• Candidates must have two Years of Experience in a minimum 50-bed Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above as applicable for all Participating AIIMS.

Age Limit (as on 17/03/2025)

Candidates age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 17/03/2025 to be eligible AIIMS NORCET 8 2025. The upper age relaxation for the reserved category will be provided as per the Recruitment rules of respective Institutes/Hospitals.

AIIMS NORCET 8 Selection Process 2025

The selection of candidates for Nursing Officer posts is based on candidates’ performance in Preliminary and Mains examination. Both stages will be held online computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify for the Stage 1 exam will be called to appear for the Stage II exam.

AIIMS NORCET 8 Exam Pattern 2025 – Stage I

• AIIMS NORCET 8 will be conducted Computer Based Mode.
• A total of 100 MCQ-based questions will be asked for a total of 100 marks.
• For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
• There is a negative marking 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.

AIIMS NORCET 8 Exam Pattern 2025 – Stage II

• In AIIMS NORCET 8 Stage 2 Exam a total of 160 objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.
• 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer, there is a negative marking, a 1/3 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Candidates who qualify for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test-8 (NORCET-8) will be appointed for the Nursing Officer posts at Pay Level 07 in the Pay Matrix pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-, Group-B for AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS as per available vacancies in the respective Institutes.
